âI wanted to pay homage to some awesome singers,â Abbyâs mother Miriame told BuzzFeed. âI basically picked artists I grew up listening to in my childhood and as a young adult. I wanted to show my daughter some of the singers Iâve loved throughout the years.â
Their tributeâwhich was a collaborative effort between Abby, Miriame, photographer Ernie Michael Hall, and graphic artist Glen Thomasâalso includes favorites like Toni Braxton and Missy Elliot.
