Mark Fisher, the co-founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island, took to “Fox & Friends” to pathetically endorse Donald Trump as president and share asinine rhetoric about why Black folks are exiting the Democratic party.
According to Fisher’s explanation to host Lawrence Jones on Tuesday, Democrats have crafted racist policies that work against Black folks.

“It’s the duplicity of the Democrats, the hypocrisy,” Fisher stated. “We’re not stupid. The brothers are not stupid. We understand when someone’s for us and when someone is not, and it’s obvious that the Democratic Party is not for us.”
“The policies actually strike at the heart of the black family and the nuclear family.”
Earlier this month, Fisher said during “The Kim Iversen Show” on YouTube that Trump’s policies for Black people are far better than what Democrats have done.
“We’ve been used and abused for so long by [the Democratic] party, they don’t value our vote,” he said. “Their policies are basically racist policies. I believe it’s a racist party. Donald Trump is just the opposite. He’s he’s going to tell you how it is. He’s going to give it to you straight. Trump has done more for the Black community than I can any president I can think of in my lifetime.”
It’s one thing to be critical of the Democratic party, but to bolster Trump’s racist policies that have hurt people of color for years is not just disingenuous—it’s just wrong.
Trump is nothing more than a white supremacist who made his way to the White House through hate. In addition, the way he mishandled the COVID-19 pandemic cost millions their lives. Fisher should be ashamed for propping up Trump so blatantly—what an embarrassment to the Black Lives Matter movement.
