Aisha Tyler: Even if 50 Cent Is Gay, Vivica Fox Was Wrong to Try to Out an Ex-Lover That Way

Much of the online chatter about the recent spat between Vivica A. Fox and 50 Cent centered on how salacious it got.

Fox recently insinuated on Watch What Happens Live that her ex-boyfriend 50 Cent is gay. She said it with so much shade that it practically dimmed the lights on the set of the Bravo talk show. 

But Aisha Tyler, a co-host at The Talk, argued that Fox used homosexuality as a way to take a jab at her former lover, and that's homophobic. She thinks that even if Fox does think the rapper is gay, outting an ex-lover that way is uncalled for. 

"It shouldn't matter. It doesn't matter, but if he was gay and he was struggling with his sexuality, the last person that should come out and rip him in public is somebody that he was in a relationship with," Tyler argued.

"That is so cruel and low. I just feel you shouldn't kiss and tell if you're a dude or if you're a woman," she continued. 

Good point, Aisha. We have to be aware of the ways in which we oppress other underrepresented groups, even when we're joking or if we're targeting someone else. Tyler gets my #WCW for that insight.
