The Black Guerrilla Family, a black revolutionary group founded in prison and believed to be inspired by Marxist principles to eradicate racism, has the Baltimore and New York City police departments on edge after one of its members walked into a Baltimore police precinct βreeking of marijuana,β the New York Daily News explains.
The man was searched and was found to have a loaded gun, marijuana and cocaine on him. Now Baltimore police suspect that BGF members are purposely trying to get arrested in order to scope out the security procedures in police precincts.

The Baltimore Police Department sent a bulletin to the NYPD and other police departments warning them of BGFβs alleged strategy of instructing its members to βget caught with a gun and drugsβ as a βpossible security procedures test,β the Daily News reports.
The NYPD has, in turn, warned all of its precincts to be extra vigilant about the possibility of such individuals βplanning to walk into precincts armed with a weapon,β with the intention of being arrested.
On Dec. 20, crazed gunman Ismaaiyl Brinsley fatally shot New York police officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos.
