Now, Kim Kardashian, this is how you break the Internet.
Today, Vanity Fair released the highly anticipated cover story of Bruce Jenner’s gender transition with the cover line “Call Me Caitlyn.”

The 22-page spread, with photos by acclaimed photographer Annie Leibovitz and story by Buzz Bissinger, immediately set Twitter ablaze—and upstaged the news that Jenner’s former stepdaughter Kim is having a second child with Kanye West.
Most folks, including a bevy of celebs like activist Janet Mock, were supportive:

Mock even had a few words for folks who refused to get with the program and identify Jenner by the proper pronoun:
Why are people so basic and still saying Bruce & he? The cover line LITERALLY says, "Call me Cailtyn." #usehername #CallMeCaitlyn

But with the Internet being the Internet, some folks couldn’t resist making some jokes:
if you think @caitlyn_jenner doesn't look like Jessica Lange you're lying pic.twitter.com/jAexvg6ELS

But for Jenner, this isn’t a joking matter.
“I’m not doing this to be interesting, I’m doing this to live,” Jenner told Bissinger. But some folks can’t help but see the move as part of the ongoing Kardashian publicity machine, especially when you consider that Jenner’s transition will be the subject of a “docuseries” for the E! network this summer.
