The Union of Concerned Scientists in Washington, D.C., is seeking a driven individual who is committed to environmental security. The UCS works to minimize the threats of global warming and nuclear warfare, focusing on and influencing environmental, energy and nuclear-power policy in the nation's capital. The UCS' Clean Vehicles Program has helped reduce the environmental impact of automobiles for more than 20 years.
UCS is searching for a candidate for its clean-vehicles national outreach coordinator position. The coordinator is responsible for promoting the Clean Vehicles Program and engaging environmental and transportation policymakers in the ongoing campaign. The position is also responsible for developing ideas to help cultivate support among scientists, legislators, everyday citizens and more.
