Iâm rooting for Kellyanne Conway, and hereâs why: Sheâs great! Many argued after watching Conwayâs âcommercialâ for Ivankaâs boo-boo-ass line of clothing that it was a clear ethical violation. And a federal watchdog released a a letter Tuesday noting that it was, in fact, an ethics violation and one that warrants more than conversation.
âI recommend that the White House investigate Ms. Conwayâs actions and consider taking disciplinary action against her,â Office of Government Ethics director Walter Shaub wrote in the letter that is dated Feb. 13 and was viewed by Politico.
Last week, President Asshat took to Twitter to shake his Twitter finger at Nordstrom for hurting his baby girl. Then White House spokesman Sean âSpicy Factsâ Spicer said that Conway had been âcounseledâ over her comments.
Shaubâs letter noted that Conway was working in an official capacity and that she âused that interview, however, as an opportunity to market Ms. Trumpâs products,â and that clearly violates âthe ethical principles for federal employees and are unacceptable.â
Politico reports that the letter was âsent to Donald Trumpâs deputy White House counsel Susan Passantinoâ and âwas copied to White House counsel Don McGahn as well as to Reps. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) and Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), leaders of the House oversight panel.â
