A female suicide bomber walked into a mobile-phone store in Azare, Nigeria, on Sunday and blew herself up, killing at least 13 people in the town and injuring 65,Β Al-Jazeera is reporting.

It’s the latest incident in a string of suicide bombings that have rocked the region. While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, according to Al-Jazeera this incident is consistent with the modus operandi of Boko Haram and the terror tactics the jihadist group has used in the region in recent weeks.

β€œResidents said the bomber entered the market accompanied by two men, one of whom they said was killed by an angry mob after the blast,” the report says.Β β€œThe attack came a day after the Nigerian army said it had recaptured and [secured] the northeastern town of Chibok, where Boko Haram rebels kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls in April. The group hadΒ captured the town on Thursday.”

The Azare bombing was the town’s third in recent weeks. On Nov. 7 a bomb detonated outside a bank in Azare, and on Oct. 23 a bomb β€œnear anΒ Azare bus stationΒ killed at least five people,” the news site reports.
