Trump on Black History Month: Where Frederick Douglass At? I See You, Baby!

President Donald Trump was surrounded by all his blacks on Wednesday. That’s right; Omarosa Manigault and Ben Carson were there to hear Trump shout out Frederick Douglass like he was a new artist coming out on Trump Records, during what I believe was supposed to constitute some form of Black History Month appreciation.

“Frederick Douglass is an example of somebody who has done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more, I notice,” Trump said, according to Talking Points Memo.

Uh, duh fuck?

Frederick Douglass has done an amazing job? Does the president even know that Frederick Douglass is dead? He makes it sound like Douglass just got a promotion at work.

I haven’t had a chance to check Omarosa’s Instagram page, but I’m sure she has photos of herself and Carson at the meeting with the hashtags #WeAProblem, #UpInDisBitch, #TrumpsBlacks.

Also, because Trump can’t stop being an asshat, of course he used this opportunity, during African-American time, to bash CNN and other “fake news” outlets that write stories he doesn’t like because he is a big-ass baby.

News broke today that White House officials won’t be on CNN anymore because he doesn’t like honest reporting on his raggedy-ass administration.

“Fox has treated me very nice,” he said. “Wherever Fox is, thank you.”

And of course Trump talked about Chicago violence, not because he’s really concerned but because the violence in Chicago fuels a white supremacy narrative of ghetto-black carnage.

“We’re going to have to do something about Chicago,” Trump added.
