Cardi Bâs been on a winning streak, as of late, and clearly, itâs not one sheâs expecting a pesky little thing like a criminal indictment to end. Despite being indicted by a grand jury in Queens on Friday on multiple felony charges stemming from a 2018 strip club altercation, as Page Six reports, Cardi (born Belcalis Marlenis AlmĂĄnzar)Â remained characteristically confident as she performed for the BET Experience audience on Saturday in Los Angeles.
âI ainât going to jail!â the eventual winner for Album of the Yearâthe first female rapper to do so at the BET Awardsâreportedly told the crowd. âFuck you mean? I ainât going to jail, I got a daughter!â

Weâre all for positive thinking, but weâre also pretty sure thatâs not how the criminal justice system works. But while she already turned down a plea agreement that wouldâve guaranteed she avoided jail time, the juryâs still out on whether Cardi will be somehow able to make this right without serving time.
In the meantime, she and husband Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus) are spoiling daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus ahead of her first birthday on July 10, buying yet another bit of new bling for the toddler last weekend. According to TMZ, the couple commissioned a custom necklace inspired by the childrenâs Netflix series Word Party, undoubtedly a favorite of the youngest member of the Cephus family.
The diamond necklace, embedded with enamel renderings of the showâs animal characters, was designed by celebrity jeweler Elliante and reportedly cost a cool $100,000. Showing off her daughterâs latest treat on social media, Cardi once again reminded us, âYOU KNOW A BAD BITCH GON SPOIL HER.â
No word on Kultureâs reaction to the gift, but Cardiâs next hearing is on Aug. 9. Hopefully, sheâll be able to keep spoiling her daughter with her presence as well as presents.
