Marvel star Jonathan Majorsâ assault trial took an extremely troubling turn on Tuesday, as his accuser, Grace Jabbari, testified about details of their two year relationship and the alleged incident that led to his arrest.
According to Variety, the exes met during the filming of âAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,â which stars Majors as Kang, and on which Jabbari, a professional dancer, worked as a movement coach.

She called their early days âamazing,â explaining that the âCreed IIIâ actor âwas really kind and loving.â However, things changed when she casually mentioned an ex-boyfriend, which resulted in him allegedly berating her.
âIt was the first time I felt scared of him,â she said. âI knew to never mention my ex again or anyone I had dated before.â
Jabbari also recalled an incident when she became unreachable while attending the 2022 Glastonbury Music Festival. Though she warned Majors ahead of time that her reception would be very limited, she claimed that he âsent me a ton of messages saying I shouldnât be there and how dare I go.â During that time, he was preparing for the film âMagazine Dreams,â which Jabbari says made him âquite stressed.â
After the production, things returned to normal, with her staying quiet about Majorsâ alleged behavior because âI loved him.â After their fights, the actor would allegedly call himself a âmonsterâ and reveal suicidal thoughts.
âI just felt like I was existing in his world,â she said. âI had low self-esteem. I lost a lot of weight. I felt incompetent and dependent on him. He was the only one who knew what went on.â
Jabbari also revealed that the âDevotionâ star wanted her to be more like Coretta Scott King or Michelle Obama. A recording of Majors was played, in which he said, âIâm a great man. A great man. I do great things for my culture and for the world. The woman that supports me needs to be a great woman.â
Jabbari testified that the alleged assault was sparked by Majors receiving a text from another woman. While in the backseat of a private car, she grabbed his phone, then he allegedly âpulledâ and âtwistedâ her arm to get it back. She also described feeling âa hard blowâ across her head.
Majors got out of the car, with Jabbari trying to follow him. Surveillance video of the actor âseemingly pushingâ her back into the car was shown to the jury.
After their dispute, Jabbari says he went to a hotel and she went to a bar, as she âdidnât want to be alone.â That night she was âaware there was pain in my body, but I hadnât registered anything. Iâm a dancer. Iâve danced with a broken rib.â
âI was only thinking from my heart of the infidelity,â she continued. âThat morning, we were talking about when we were going to get married and the names of our [future] children.â
Jabbari will continue her testimony on Wednesday. As previously reported by The Root, Majors is charged with âtwo counts of assault in the third degree, attempted assault in the third degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, and harassment in the second degree.â
He pled not guilty, with his lawyers claiming Jabbari actually assaulted him on the night in question. If convicted, he could face up to a year in prison.
