Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton will go to Washington, D.C., toΒ address the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists atΒ the largest joint convention of black and Latino journalists since 2008, as reportedΒ byΒ BuzzFeed News.

The convention will be held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park.

"It is notable that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has recognized the 2016 NABJ-NAHJ Convention as a vital gathering to discuss her platform and the issues impacting black and Latino communities," said NABJ President Sarah Glover, as reported atΒ NABJ's website.

Clinton hopes to receive a favorable response from her black and Latino supporters as she did when she won the Democratic primary race.

"Her decision to support this event further shows her commitment to diversity," Glover added.Β 

The GOP presidential nominee, Donald Trump, was also extended an invitation to speak, however, it appeared that his campaign had yet to respond, according to BuzzFeed.

Clinton's address at the 2016 NABJ-NAHJ Convention will only be accessible to attendees and will not be open to the public.
