Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall took a stand by taking a knee during the national anthem, and now it has cost him an endorsement deal, according to the New York Daily News.

Air Academy Federal Credit Union dropped Marshall as a spokesman after he joined San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, his college teammateยญ, to protest social injustice before the start of Thursday nightโs Broncos vs. Carolina Panthers game.
โWhile we respect Brandonโs right of expression, his actions are not a representation of our organization and membership,โ said the unionโs president and chief executive, Glenn Strebe, in a statement.
Marshall defended his actions in an Instagram post, making it clear that he wasnโt protesting against the military, police or America.
