Outkast Will Reunite! Well, Maybe?

Revolt TV confirmed rumors on Wednesday that hip-hop duo Outkast will go on tour in 2014. (My Slate homies Forrest Wickman and Aisha Harris remind us why we should trust Diddy’s network when it comes to concert announcements.)

There’s another shaky rumor that Outkast will headline Coachella next year. Let’s pretend that all of this is true. You can barely stand it, can you? Neither can Twitter. People heard the news and cried, threatened to die and then celebrated with prayer and Holy Ghost dances:

But in the midst of his excitement, Outkast superfan Rembert Browne from Grantland astutely reminded us to be cautious because it's Outkast, and because Andre 3000 is half of Outkast:

But then you remember the question mark. And that this is Outkast. And that Andre 3000 is Andre 3000. And a wave of reality appears, forcing you to consider the fact that you're getting your hopes up for something that very likely could not happen.

In related but unrelated news, Andre 3000’s hair in “Hey Ya” makes me want to get a perm. If Outkast actually reunites, I’ll show up at Coachella with straight hair. Real talk.
