(The Root) β€” This Labor Day weekend, the City of Brotherly Love will be buzzing with people anxious to experience Jay-Z headlining the first Budweiser Made in America Festival. The event will take place on Sept. 1 and 2 on Benjamin Franklin Parkway, right in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. The concerts are expected to bring 100,000 people to the city.

Jay-Z and Pearl Jam, the co-headliners, are scheduled to be joined by a long list of notable performers, including Janelle MonΓ‘e, Gary Clark Jr., D'Angelo, Maybach Music Group, Skrillex, Drake, Run-DMC, Jill Scott and Santigold. There are even rumors that Hov's wife, BeyoncΓ©, may give a surprise performance.

For those who can’t make it, Hollywood director Ron Howard will film the event in hopes of bringing a concert film to theaters in 2013. Howard says the release will be a "reflection of the fabric of what it means to be "Made in America" β€” what the festival represents, why Jay is doing it and how he relates to each artist."
