It only took six years, but President Barack Obama has an official presidential Twitter account. On Monday the president sent out his first tweet, reassuring people that it is indeed him:

Within minutes the tweet had been retweeted close to 20,000 times, and he’s already gained almost 100,000 followers.

For the longest time, President Obama was hiding out on Twitter at @BarackObama, but it was run by Organizing for Action, which was tied to his presidential campaign. With only a couple of years left in his term, you can rest assured that he’ll resume use of @BarackObama once he leaves the White House. But until then, he’s officially @Potus and Michelle Obama is @Flotus.
