President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will travel to Dallas on Tuesday to attend an interfaith memorial service held in memory of the five police officers who were killed Friday during an attack at what had been a peaceful protest, the White House reports.
Alongside the Obamas, Vice President Joe Biden and Jill Biden, along with former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush, are also set to attend.

The president will deliver remarks at the interfaith service, and the president and first lady will privately meet with the families of the fallen officers, as well as with those who were injured, to "personally express the nation's support and gratitude for their service and sacrifice."
According to ABC News, this will be the 11th time that the president has traveled to a community in the aftermath of a mass shooting.
