According to TMZ, however, Collins was indicted on four counts ofย criminal possession of a weapon and one count of attempted murder.

Collins' lawyer, Scott Leemon, says only part of the story is shown in a video from the night of the shooting May 25. โ€œThe video does not show everything nor explain what happened in the VIP room before Troy came running out, as a victim, after he was shot,โ€ he said.

Collins was shot in the leg during the incident, but Leemon says reports that Collins shot himself are false.ย Collins also denies that he shot McPhatter.

It seems as though Collins has been spending his time in jail wisely. He dropped a mixtape on which he addressed McPhatter's death. On theย Free Troy Ave mixtape, he raps, โ€œI lost my best friend and the sad part about it is I ainโ€™t realize he was my best friend until I lost him. And that [sโ€”t] hurts worse than these bullets when I got shot.โ€

Next week, Leemon will be looking for Collins to be released from jail on bond.
