Looks like Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) is not playing about VP Kamala Harris. On Tuesday, the Democrat lawmaker took to X to address presidential candidate and Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) directly about the disparaging comments Phillips made about Harris.

The upsetting commentary was published in an interview with The Atlantic. Phillips, who has a shot in hell at securing the Democratic presidential nomination, stated that others folks said Harris isnโt right for the role of Vice President.
โI hear from others who know her a lot better than I do that many think sheโs not well positioned,โ Phillips said. โShe is not well prepared, doesnโt have the right disposition and the right competencies to execute that office. Itโs pretty clear that sheโs not somebody people have faith in,โ he also stated referring to her low approval rating.
He did, however, add that he has โenjoyedโ interacting with Harris and that heโs โnot seen those deficienciesโ in his โpersonal experience.โ However, Garcia sees right through Phillipsโs cheap tactics.
โApparently Dean Phillips is floundering so hard that heโs now resorting to attacking Vice-President Harris. He better keep the VPโs name out of his mouth and apologize. No one will support him so heโs going to torch his entire reputation on the way out. Sad to see,โ Garcia wrote on X.
Phillips chose to enter the race just last month, which would only hurt Bidenโs reelection chances against the person who is most likely to be his opponent: Donald Trump.
The Biden campaign hasnโt really paid any attention to Phillips, with the national Democratic Party refusing to let him debate Biden. In response, Phillips criticized the presidentโs age in his campaign announcement.
โI think President Biden has done a spectacular job for our country. But itโs not about the past. This is an election about the future.โ Phillips knows he wonโt win and is doing everything in his power to stay relevant. It truly is sad to see.
