Taraji P. Henson waited 20 years, and she wasn’t going to let the Golden Globes music cut her off as she accepted her award for best actress in a TV drama during Sunday night’s Golden Globes award ceremony.  Watching Taraji P. Henson hit every single damn pose is the best thing I'll see all night…

Taraji P. Henson waited 20 years, and she wasn’t going to let the Golden Globes music cut her off as she accepted her award for best actress in a TV drama during Sunday night’s Golden Globes award ceremony.

Henson was, of course, nominated for her role as Cookie in Fox’s hit drama Empire.

Henson opened her speech with, “Cookies for everyone tonight! My treat.”

“Who knew that playing an ex-convict would take me all around the globe? So the world loves real. Thank you,” Henson said.

The actress thanked everyone from her longtime manager to the cast of Empire. And then she got the signal to hurry her speech because the show was about to cut to a commercial.

“I waited 20 years for this. You gonna wait!” Henson shouted. And, of course, when Henson speaks, everyone listens.

Take a look at her speech below.
