Tavis Smiley appeared on Good Morning America Monday morning, and he had a few words for PBS when it came to his suspension by the network. Smileyâs long-running show was pulled from PBS last week after several complaints of sexual misconduct.
âPBS made a huge mistake here,â Smiley told Good Morning America.âThey need to fix this. They need to correct it. But I donât know the answer.â

Regarding its investigation into the allegations against Smiley, PBS stated that several people said they felt that if they didnât have a sexual relationship with Smiley, their jobs would be in jeopardy. The network also noted that it has a policy in place that forbids co-workers from basically shitting where they eat. But apparently, Smiley doesnât think that included him.
âIn our employee handbook, while we do not encourage office relationships, we do not forbid them, either,â Smiley told GMA, saying that thatâs because âI donât know where your heartâs going to lead you.â
