That Makes 3: Another Black Patriots Player Isn’t Going to Trump’s White House

Dont’a Hightower is the latest member of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots to pass on going to President Ass Hat’s White House.

The Pro Bowl linebacker told ESPN Wednesday: “Been there, done that.” Hightower is the latest African-American member of the championship team to pass on going to Ass Hat’s lair.

Outspoken tight end Martellus Bennett was the first Patriot to pass on going to visit with Donald Trump. Bennett once claimed on Twitter that he would move to outer space if Trump were elected. After the team’s Super Bowl win, Bennett stated, “It is what it is. People know how I feel about it. Just follow me on Twitter,” the New York Times reports.

Devin McCourty, a team captain and pro bowl safety, told Time magazine: “Basic reason for me is I don’t feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices, I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others won’t.”

According to the New York Times, Bennett and McCourty both protested against the treatment of African Americans during a game last fall when they raised their fists as the national anthem played.

Super Bowl hero running back James White had yet to announce whether he would be attending, telling the Times, “I’ll wait till the time comes and decide then.”
