The last time we saw Arthur Nathaniel Booth was in a 2015 video where he stood before Miami-Dade Judge Mindy Glazer. Back then, he was facing charges of burglary and grand theft. During his bond hearing, Glazer gave a kind word of encouragement after recognizing Booth from the classroom of Nautilus Middle School.

โ€œI always wondered what happened to you - the nicest kid in middle school,โ€ Glazer said in the video. โ€œGood luck to you. I hope youโ€™re able to come out of this OK and lead a lawful life.โ€

Almost immediately, Booth was moved from an ear-to-ear grin to a loud sob. โ€œOh my goodness,โ€ he repeated. The two reunited in 2016 when Booth was released after serving 10 months in jail upon the completion of a court program.

โ€œSheโ€™s an inspiration and motivation to me right now. Seeing Mindy is incredible โ€˜cause I knew where I couldโ€™ve been,โ€ he said. He made a promise to Glazer not to let her down, and lead a new life of sobriety. However, the Miami Police Department said heโ€™s been arrested again, eight years later, for a new slew of charges.

Booth was connected to a string of crimes in August, the department said. In one incident, police allege he knocked on a personโ€™s door posing as a water inspector. Once he gained access into the home, police said he snooped around and stole some jewelry before fleeing. In another instance, police alleged Booth posed as a plumber and stole a chain from a victim before fleeing. Booth was also connected to more chain-snatching incidents.

โ€œAn individual like this needs to be behind bars,โ€ said police spokesman Freddie Cruz in a statement.

Last week, Booth was charged with several counts of burglary and assault. Itโ€™s unclear whether Booth was abusing substances as he was previously accused of. However, he was denied bond, per jail records. Thereโ€™s no telling whether heโ€™ll end up in front of Judge Glazer again.
