CNN weekend news anchor T.J. Holmes will be leaving the network at the end of the year, a CNN representative just confirmed in answer to a query by The Root. Additional details, including where he is heading next, are not yet available. TVNewser has published a CNN staff memo that simply states he is leaving "to pursue other opportunities."
Holmes, who has been at CNN since October 2006, anchorsΒ CNN Newsroom's weekend morning editions. He is also an honoree of The Root 100. According to CNN's website:
