Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer made her debut as host of Saturday Night Live last night. I’ll confess I missed it because I had better things to do on a Saturday night. But then this dumb-ass skit of Spencer playing a woman who’s suing a drug company because they stole the names of her family and friends came into my life.

When will (white) people learn that making fun of black names is never funny and is racist as hell? Didn’t the SNL writers hear what happened to Jimmy Kimmel after he made fun of Mahershala Ali’s name at the Oscars last week?
Even the audience wasn’t sure they should be laughing at SNL’s garbage. I’m just sad that Spencer got caught up in this foolishness.
