President Barack Obama will deliver the eulogy Saturday at a Catholic Mass for Beau Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden and former attorney general of Delaware, according to MSNBC.

First lady Michelle Obama and other dignitaries, including Bill and Hillary Clinton, will also attend the service at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wilmington, Del. Biden, 46, died May 30 after a long bout with brain cancer.

Like his father, Beau Biden was dedicated to public service. While he was Delaware’s attorney general, he served in Iraq as a lawyer for the Delaware Army National Guard, MSNBC reports. He was also a top potential contender to become governor of Delaware.

“Like his dad, Beau was a good, big-hearted, devoutly Catholic and deeply faithful man who made a difference in the lives of all he touched—and he lives on in their hearts,” the president said in a statement released on the night of Biden’s death.

More than 1,000 mourners gathered Thursday for a memorial service at the Delaware State House in Dover. Scores attended a public viewing Friday at the church where the funeral will be held.
