Professional troll Candace Owens truly outdid herself last week, dropping one of the most racist podcasts weâve ever heard.
Owensâ target was none other than Fulton County, Ga. District Attorney Fani Willis, whom she called a âghetto superstar.â And if you think thatâs bad, wait till you hear the rest of what Owens had to say.

On Thursday, Willis took the stand to defend herself against a motion to remove her from the Georgia election interference case. Attorneys for former President Donald Trump and other co-defendants in the case alleged that Willisâ relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade tainted the proceedings.
While many people praised Willisâ passionate self-advocacy, Owens had a very different take.
In the headline of her podcast, Owens called Willis a âghetto superstar,â adding that âLove and Hip Hopâ should give her and her special prosecutor Wade a call. She then proceeded to play several clips of Willisâ testimony, summarizing them in the most racist way humanly possible.
âYa, you heard her right, she donât do her friends like that,â said Owens, mocking what she described as Willisâ use of âebonics.â
During another clip, Owens paraphrased Willisâ testimony about the financial situation in her relationship with Wade, saying âFani Willis, she donât done need no man.â
Mind you, Willis does not talk like that. (But even if she did, itâs 2024, are we still really making fun of AAVE?!)
Owens also took the opportunity to stand on her anti-DEI soapbox. âThe biggest argument against DEI is Fani Willis,â said Owens, implying that the district attorney was a diversity hire.
To be clear, you can feel any way you want about Willis, but calling her a diversity hire is not it. Willis previously served as deputy Fulton County district attorney for 17 years. After she left that office, she served as chief magistrate judge of South Fulton County, Ga. and was managing attorney of her own law office. Willis then beat out the incumbent district attorney to win her current position.
But sure… sheâs a diversity hire.
Thereâs a lot more in Owensâ rant, like calling Willisâ testimony âso ghetto,â but this feels like more than enough Candace Owens for one day.
